A new rumour has surfaces interestingly not mentioning  Naomie Harris or Ralph Fiennes. The story goes that Bond 23 director Sam Mendes talked Rhys Ifans and Javier Bardem into appearing in the next Bond adventure which is to be filmed primarily in South Africa.

Most American fans might remember Rhys Ifans best as Nigel ‘The Leg’ Gruff from the 2000 movie ‘The Replacements‘. According to IMDb Ifans has three movies in post-production including the new Spider-man reboot and two in pre-production.

“Ifans will appear in the film, as well as Javier Bardem, who will play the baddie,” says my man with the golden gun. “Much of the filming will take place in South Africa.”

Craig, 43, and Ifans, also 43, appeared together in Enduring Love, a 2004 adaptation of Ian McEwan’s novel. Ifans played Craig’s stalker.

The Welsh actor, who is best known for playing Hugh Grant’s dissolute house mate in Notting Hill, said: “I spent the whole shoot winding up Dan Craig saying, ‘Only four days to go now, Dan, darling, before our snogging scene.’ Even now, after two Bonds, Dan still maintains that the hardest stunt he’s ever done was getting to grips with my mouth.”

  1. What is taking them so long? They put Calypso as Moneypenny, Spike has got to be Q because nobody would buy him as a baddy. Another agent? Doubtful. What are they thinking? Why are that casting two of the most enduring people in the Bond legend as a joke?

Wait, I get it now! This is the same team making the movies who think Craig looks like Sean Connery (I can assure you he does not) and QoS their latest movie was a masterpiece (I can assure you it was not), these people are odd ball casting that only might could work with odd ball casting like Daniel Craig.
