Metro-Goldwyn-Mayer June 30 said it signed a five-year distribution deal with Forum Film for future DVD, Blu-ray Disc and theatrical releases in Poland, Hungary, Romania, Bulgaria, Israel, Czech Republic and Slovakia.<\/p>\n

Forum Film is the distribution unit of Cinema City International NV.<\/p>\n

Notable to the deal is that it includes MGM\u2019s upcoming \u201cHobbit\u201d films (set for release in 2012 and 2013) and future installments of the revitalized \u201cJames Bond\u201d franchise featuring Daniel Craig.<\/p>\n

Bond 23<\/em>, which was delayed when MGM filed for bankruptcy and then sold to an investment group, is due theatrically Nov. 9, 2012.<\/p>\n

Sony Pictures Home Entertainment in April signed a distribution and co-financing deal for \u201cBond\u201d films that apparently does not include Eastern Europe.<\/p>\n

MGM\u2019s current worldwide home entertainment distribution deal with 20th Century Fox Home Entertainment excludes the aforementioned Eastern Europe countries and Israel, a Fox representative confirmed.<\/p>\n
