He made many iconic set designs for seven James Bond films in the 60s and 70s. His wonderful extravagant designs &#8211; such as those on The Spy Who Loved Me &#8211; are one of the most memorable parts of the Bond series.\n<\/p>\n<p>\n\tHe worked as a production designer on many other films.\n<\/p>\n<p>\n\tHe was born in a Jewish family who came to Britain in 1934.
