Ewan McGregor 'too short' for
Bond
It should be noted that 5ft 10 is the same height as Daniel Craig. This
barefoot height has been verified by EON whom measured him and by
Craig himself.

'James Bond' bosses reportedly rejected 007 contender
Ewan McGregor because he's "too short" to play the
dashing spy.

A leaked email allegedly says the 5ft 10 hunk was
thought to be too little to play Bond, according to
reports.

The memo from Barbara Broccoli's Eon Productions also
detailed why other stars in the running to play Bond
were ruled out. It said 'X-Men' hunk Hugh Jackman was
"too fey", while Irish hellraiser Colin Farrell was
deemed to be "too sleazy".

Eric Bana was written off as "not handsome enough".
Meanwhile the new 007, 'Layer Cake' star Daniel Craig,
was photographed enjoying a white-knuckle ride on
Britain's River Thames on Friday (14-05-05).

The 37-year-old was being taken to meet the press by
Royal marine commandos.

The actor - who will be the first blond Bond -admitted
he was terrified as he whizzed along the river in a super
fast patrol boat.

As he stepped onto the shore he said: "I'd like to thank
the Marines for bringing me in like that - and scaring the
s**t out of me".
